| Because of his concern of mixing metal in the mouth, Dr. Jackson, FIAOMT discontinued using metal based orthodontic appliances several years ago. With the advent of Invisalign(™) orthodontic appliances, he now has a more biological technique for providing needed orthodontic treatment for his patients. Because the "Aligners" are removable, the usual problems of cleaning at home and at the dental office are simplified. There are also studies that show that the health of the gum tissue can improve as the teeth are being straightened. And best of all, the appliances are nearly invisible. No one needs to know that you are actually having your teeth straightened. |

The patented process involves diagnosing the exact need for orthodontic treatment, then taking photographs, bite registration, and excellent impressions with specific materials to capture the exact position and shape of the teeth. These records are then shipped to California where CAT scans are taken of the models and the virtual images are stored on the companies' computers. Technicians then use Cad/Cam technologies to design treatment movements of the teeth to achieve the desired straightening of the teeth. A video is sent to the office for review by the patient and doctor and the planned movements are approved prior to any appliances being manufactured. After approval, the orthodontics appliances are constructed and sent to the dental office. The biocompatible appliances are fitted and then given to the patient.
The bio-compatible appliances are removable for ease of eating and cleaning. The trays are changed every two weeks. The progression of changing out trays every two weeks continues with monitoring of movement by the treating dentist until the final completed stage is achieved. |
